BAGUIO CITY– The elder brother of the late Philippine Military Academy (PMA) 4th Class Cadet Darwin Dormitorio filed hazing, torture and murder charges against the latter’s seven classmates.
Dexter Dormitorio, together with lawyer John Adrian Bonifacio and Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Chief Allan Rae Co filed the charges at 5 p.m. before the Office of the City Prosecutor at the Justice Hall here.
Respondents in the 34-page charge sheet filed in the presence of Fiscal Edwin Bryan Sagsago were 3rd Class Cadets Shalimar Imperial, Felix M. Lumbag Jr., John Vincent Manalo, Julius Carlo Tadena, Rey David John Volante; 2nd Class Cadet Christian Zacarias and 1st Class Cadet Axl Ret Sanopao.
“I would like to tell my brother, This is just part one of the battle. We will not stop hanggang hindi napapanagot ang lahat,” Dormitorio said.
He said it is their family’s wish to have an airtight case against the alleged killers of his brother.
The elder Dormitorio also tagged as accomplices in the death of his brother Darwin’s tactical officers: Major Rex Bolo, Tactics Group senior tactical officer; and Captain Jeffrey Batistana, the tactical officer of the Echo Company.
The three PMA Station Hospital (PMASH) doctors who attended to Dormitorio were not spared and charged with dereliction of duty. They are Colonel Cesar Almar Candelaria, the commanding officer of the Philippine Military Station Hospital, Captain Flor Apple Apostol and Major Ofelia Beloy.
