Public warned: Don’t eat 7-Eleven fried chicken

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Thursday warned the public against consuming certain 7-Eleven food products.

In an advisory posted on its website, the FDA said the convenience store’s four variants of fried chicken meals branded as Crunch Time Flavorites are not authorized to be sold for having no Certificates of Product Registration yet.

Unregistered food products have not been subjected to thorough evaluation process and thus their quality and safety are not assured, the agency said.

The consumption of the said items–Fiery Glaze Hot & Spicy, Soy Garlic and Creamy Cheese–may pose health risks to consumers, it warned.
