LTFRB to approve 1,000 TNVS

He said violators will be fined P500 for illegal loading and unloading and added it is about time to enforce discipline to restore order on the roads.

Following the directive of Anti-Red Tape Authority’s (ARTA), the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said Thursday it will approve more than 1,000 pending Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) applications.

There are currently 1,130 pending applications for Certificates of Public Convenience (CPCs) scheduled for processing within two weeks.

ARTA earlier ordered the transport agency to “automatically” approve pending TNVS applications already paid and heard by the board from 7 July 2018 to 24 July 2019, when Republic Act No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business Act took effect.

The order was prompted by complaints received regarding numerous completed requirements that remain pending before the LTFRB.
