Phl not joining CIIE 2019

The Philippines will not be a part of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) this year, according to Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) chair Emeritus Francis Chua.

Chua, who headed the Philippine delegation last year, said there aren’t enough participants from the Philippine Food Processors and Exporters Organization, Inc. (Philfoodex) for the CIIE slated on 5-10 November in Shanghai.

“I am hands off this year because I could not convince the group of (Philfoodex president) Bobby Amores to join,” he said.

Philfoodex is looking instead at the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) scheduled late October. ‎
