Malacañang on Tuesday announced that Cabinet clusters will hold three for a which are expected to highlight the administration’s accomplishments ahead of President Rodrigo Duterte’s fourth State of the Nation Address (SoNA) in July.
In a statement, Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo revealed that Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles had already discussed the conduct of pre-SoNA fora during the Cabinet meeting last Monday.
According to the Palace official, the first forum will be held in Manila on 1 July which will feature the economic development and infrastructure cluster, while the second forum – set in Cebu City on 10 July — will be presented by Cabinet members from the human development and poverty reduction cluster and participatory governance cluster.
The third forum, on the other hand, will be hosted by Davao City on 17 July and will be led by members of the climate change adaptation, mitigation and disaster risk reduction cluster and security, justice and peace cluster.
The President is set to deliver his annual report to the nation before a joint session of Congress on 22 July, however, Panelo could not say if Duterte will follow his prepared speech or go off script
