Appropriations chair eyed by Salceda

Albay 3rd District Rep. Joey Sarte Salceda announced on Tuesday that he is eyeing for the chairmanship of House appropriations committee.

In an ambush interview, Salceda said that he “aspires” for the chairmanship of one of the major committees in the Chamber.

Salceda earlier mentioned that he “might chair” the panel during the House Special Committee on Climate Change briefing on Tuesday.

Meantime, incoming Antique Rep. Loren Legarda said she is open to chair the counterpart of Senate Committee on Finance, which she chaired during the 17th Congress.

She was also endorsed by Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III to head the appropriations panel.
