The costumed streaker at the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) who ran into the Araneta Coliseum court while San Miguel Beer and Magnolia were playing Game 5 of their best-of-seven championship series last 10 May simply wanted to spread the message that people should love one another.

Sadly, for the PBA Spider-man, his mission backfired. The “hero” got pummeled rather than lauded for disrupting the game. The streaker, identified as Paolo Felizarta, landed in a  Cubao police station and PBA officials reportedly plan to file charges against him.

The sad streaker got some love from his fellow detainees, who apparently treated him so well he returned with a load of pizza for them days after his release.

Felizarta’s friends took a video of his visit to the station and posted it on his YouTube account, “spidey manila,” where it has gotten more than 111,000 views since 21 May.

In the video, the detainees were loudly cheering Felizarta, who was in his Spidey costume minus the mask.

This time, the PBA Spider-man successfully delivered his message of “love” with a hearty treat warmly welcomed by his newfound fans.

There were no such delights in the offing for Ronald Tubid, though. The basketball player who punched Felizarta when the streaker was collared by PBA security guards already got his just desserts in the form of a P75,000 fine and a three-game suspension from the league.
