Alohi Hardy-Robins will be seeing action for Cignal in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference starting 15 June.
The HD Spikers’ official social media account made the announcement, saying that the playmaker from Hawaii will be their new setter after deciding to move from United VC.
At Cignal, Alohi will be joining a very solid core of Mylene Paat, Jheck Dionela, Mumay Vivas, Janine Navarro, Shirley Salamagos and skipper Rachel Anne Daquis.
Although veteran Jovelyn Gonzaga will no longer be around after rejoining her mother team, Philippine Army, in the rival league, the wards of Edgar Barroga will still be a force to be reckoned with now that Robins-Hardy will be helping Acy Masangkay in setting the plays.
Aside from being a six-footer, the former Brigham Young University star is also a smart setter who can attack and defend.
In the Grand Prix, she helped turn a depleted United VC squad into a semifinal contender as she joined fellow Filipino-American Kalei Mau in carrying the cudgels for coach Joshua Ylaya.
