PUB modernization roadshow set June to December

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) met with vehicle manufacturers and suppliers Wednesday to discuss the upcoming nationwide caravan/roadshow and other pressing concerns.

LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra II presided the meeting centered on the Public Utility Vehicle Moderniznationwide roadshow/caravan that will be initially launched in the middle of June until December in Clark, Pampanga.

Meanwhile, to prepare for the launch, a steering committee composed of the unit manufacturers and suppliers together with representatives from the Department of Transportation road sector, LTFRB, Office of Transportation Cooperatives and Automotive Body Manufacturers Association of the Philippines will meet next week to finalize the schedules, venues and logistical requirements for the conduct of the roadshow.

The modernization will be implemented in four phases. First phase will cover areas north of Metro Manila, second phase will reach provinces south of Metro Manila, third phase will be in Mindanao and the final phase will be in Visayas.
