Aquino out of ‘Magic 12’, Ejercito enters

Bam Aquino dropped a spot making him out of the Magic 12 in the latest update of the partial and official tally of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) seated as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC).

While Aquino slid his way down at the 13th spot with 5,772,776 total votes, Joseph Victor “JV” Gomez Ejercito made his way in the winning circle.

Ejercito took the 11th spot in the senatorial race garnering 6,079,028 votes which leaves Nancy Binay in the 12th rank.

Meanwhile, reelectionists Senators Cynthia Villar remained at the top of the race with 10,416,332 votes followed by Grace Poe with 9,151,162 votes.

Also in the top 5 were Bong Go (8,549,086), Pia Cayetano (8,417,229) and Bato dela Rosa (8,025,527).

Sonny Angara with 7,699,782 votes landed on the 6th place; Imee Marcos with 7,157,978 at 7th; Lito Lapid with 6,607,637 at 8th; Francis Tolentino with 6,552,739 at 9th; and Koko Pimentel with 6,220,434 at 10th.

So far, the NBOC has tallied 89 out of 167 certificates of canvass.
