“He’s just been a dream,” the new Royal mom Meghan Markle said when asked about how motherhood has been. “It’s been a special couple of days.”
With husband Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex is over the moon with the arrival of their newborn son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The new royal baby became the seventh in line to the British throne, just one spot after his father Prince Harry.
Appearing at St. George’s Hall in Windsor Castle a few days ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex finally introduced their baby to the world. In an article on people.com, Meghan said, “It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy.”
The new parents can’t stop beaming at the sight of Baby Archie. “He has the sweetest temperament,” Meghan added. “He’s really calm.” To which Prince Harry said with a smile, “I don’t know where he gets that from!”
And it may take a while before we can tell if Baby Archie will look like the Duke or Duchess. Harry added, “Everyone says babies change so much over two weeks. We’re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month, really. His looks are changing every single day, so who knows?”
When asked about parenting, Harry said, “It’s great. Parenting is amazing. It’s only been two and a half days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy.”
Both are looking forward to spending more precious time with their baby as he slowly starts to grow up. “It will be a nice moment to introduce the baby to the whole family and my mom is with us, too,” Meghan said.
Before leaving St. George’s Hall, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made sure to thank people about their kind greetings for Baby Archie. “Thank you everyone for all the well wishes and the kindness,” Meghan said. “It just means so much.”
