Senate President Vicente Sotto III said Thursday it’s possible to pass the bill ending contractualization in two to three days when Congress reopens after the election break.

“When we resume session on May 20, within two to three days, we can pass it,” Sotto said in a radio interview referring to Senate Bill No. 1826 or the proposed Security of Tenure Act.

The Senate President added that the bill was certified urgent by President Rodrigo Duterte so they have to rush its passage.

He explained that the Senate did the interpolation for the bill before their election break and it is now in the amendment stage.
