Luzon grid stable


Luzon grid proved a stable platform on Sunday that allowed the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines to issue a Normal Condition advisory for Luzon.

According also to the Department of Energy (DoE), the South Luzon Thermal Energy Corp. Unit 1 of Ayala is now running on full load. It was synchronized to the grid at 2:03 a.m. Sunday and achieved full load at 8:50 a.m.

On forced outages and derated plants, the DoE said the Masinloc Unit 1 of San Miguel is running on a lower capacity of 304 MW.

Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi said the DoE will continue to update the public on further developments in the power front.
