ILOILO CITY — A graduate of the West Visayas State University (WVSU) – La Paz Campus, in this city’s La Paz district, secured the top spot in the March 2019 Physician Licensure Exam.
Clinton Rosita Rabadon, with a rating of 89.83 percent, shared the top spot with Jan Bendric Co Borbe of the University of Sto. Tomas.
The two led the 1,209 board passers out of the 1,759 board examinees, according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Another WVSU graduate Temie Paul Baguio Villarino, with a rating of 87.42 percent, secured the ninth place, sharing it with Karl Josef Niño Jimenez Separa of University of the Philippines-Manila.
Aside from the inclusion of two of its examinees in the Top 10, WVSU also took pride in securing a 100 percent passing rate.
Luis Sorolla Jr., WVSU president, said that all of its 18 examinees passed, a repeat of their performance in the past years.
“There were several years that we secured a 100 percent passing rate but last year, we had one examinee who failed,” he said in a phone interview on Saturday, adding that its graduate clinching the top spot is a first for WVSU.
