#TrashTag Challenge: Accepted

There has been increasing concern over the amount of rubbish in Hong Kong waters which washes up on its numerous beaches. Authorities and environmentalists have pointed the finger at southern mainland China as the source.

There’s a new challenge circulating online, and this time it doesn’t involve eating Tide pods or wearing blindfolds to replicate a movie.

#TrashTag challenge or #ChallengeforChange is a viral social media game where netizens are encouraged to post a before-and-after photo of an area which needs cleaning or maintenance.

Social media users are jumping in the bandwagon with accounts from various countries such as Norway, Nepal, India, Spain and Malaysia posting their take on the trending craze.

Meanwhile, the Philippines is not to be left behind as Filipino netizens started cleaning up communities to take part to the challenge.
