A Korean fugitive was arrested in Caloocan City on Thursday.
Agents of Bureau of Immigration Fugitives Search Unit (BI-FUS) together with the Korean Interpol arrested Lee Yun Sung in an entrapment operation and brought him to the BI detention facility in Intramuros.
Sung was immidiately brought to the Bureau of Immigration main office in Intramuros Manila for proper inquest proceedings.
Sung is wanted in South Korea for illegal drugs smuggling and flew to the country to escape with their authority, according to BI-FSU Chief Bobby Roquepo.
Roquepo said after the inquest proceedings of the suspect he will be transferred to the BI Warden Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig.
While detained, Sung’s record will be checked if he was involved in other crime in the country and his deportation will be processed.
