65M ballots to be printed

Nearly 65 million ballots will be printed for the 13 May 2019 mid-term elections, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said on Saturday.

In the poll body’s breakdown of the figure, most of the ballots to be printed are in Region 4-A with more than 8.67 million followed by 7.07 million in the National Capital Region, 6.83 million in Region 3, 4.95 million in Region 7, 4.81 million in Region 6, 3.65 million in Region 5, 3.33 million in Region 1, 3.05 million in Region 8, 3.03 million in Region 11, 2.85 million in Region 10, 2.43 million in Region 12, 2.19 million in Region 2, 2.19 million in Region 9, 2.17 million in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao, 1.83 million in Region 4-B, 1.76 million in the Caraga region and 1.01 million in Region 1.

Meanwhile, 1.82 million absentee ballots will be printed for overseas voters. Another 1.2 million final testing and sealing ballots will be printed.
