The Senate passed on second reading the bill which proposes flexible working hours for employees which aims to give employers and employees an option to adopt flexible working arrangements.

Senate Bill No. 1571 — or the Alternative Working Arrangement bill – seeks to amend Article 83 of the Labor Code, which limits the normal working hours to eight hours a day for five days and under the measure, alternative working hours would not exceed 48 hours per week with no reduction of existing benefits.
