Seventeen-year-old Jann Andre Macaba, a special child who has been missing for five days, has been found, police said Monday.
PSSupt. Rizalito Gapas, Pasig police chief, said a neighbor of the Macaba family saw him walking along the street of Julia Vargas in Barangay Ugong, Pasig City on Sunday.
The neighbor, according to Gapas, immediately sought assistance from police officers who responded and saw Jann at around 6 p.m.
Jann was last seen on 8 January at their residence in Hampton Garden Condominiums, Barangay Maybunga, Pasig City. He apparently left the house at around 6:20 a.m. wearing a black jacket, gray short, printed black cap and medical mask.
Upon learning Jann was missing, family members reported it to the Pasig City Police (PCP) Station and asked for help to search for him.
After five days of search, Police Officer 1 Diana Manguhan and Police Officer 1 Christian James Castro found Jann and turned him over to PCP 1 where the boy was reported missing.
After a while, Personnel of Police Community Precint 1 together with the parents of Jann brought him to the Women’s and Children Protection Desk of PCP for proper documentation.
The parents of Jann were relieved to know he is safe and sound. They thanked the police for the help in looking for the boy.
