Filipino-American director Bobby Rubio is set to release his own Disney Pixar short film.
Entitled as ‘Float’, the film will be released under the animation company’s Sparkshorts.
Sparkshorts is a project of the Disney Pixar which showcases short films created by their group of artists.
In a Twitter post, Rubio confirmed that ‘Float’ will feature two Filipino-American as lead characters. He also relayed his hope that his work will ignite more Filipino-American stories.
Rubio is known as a cover artist for Marvel Comics and the creator of the comic series “4 Gun Conclusion” and “Alcaraz High.”
