President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday relieved the top police officials of Bacolod City for their alleged protection of drug syndicates.
The Chief Executive announced the dismissal of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Director Senior Supt. Francisco Ebreo, BCPO Deputy for Operation Supt. Allan Macapagal, Supt. Richie Yatar, City Drugs Enforcement Unit team leader Supt. Nassrudin Tayuan, and Police Station 3 Chief Senior Insp. Victor Paulino during his speech at an event in L’Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City Saturday, 12 January.
“I’d like to know if the chief of police is here. If you are here kindly stand up because you are fired as of this moment,” Duterte said, according to a press release sent by the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
“Then you have Superintendent Tayuan… And Superintendent Yatar… And there is Victor Paulino, police SI… Macapagal, you are out,” the President added.
The fired police officers were ordered to report to his office on Monday, 14 January.
