President Rodrigo Duterte led the awarding of the initial 500 housing units to the Armed Forces of the Philippines Army Scout Rangers, 10 December.
The housing project which is located in San Miguel, Bulacan is part of the president’s vow to provide decent and affordable housing units for the military and police.
Recipients are to pay P4,000 monthly amortization for the fully-furnished, two-bedroom units after the president’s call to reduce original value from P1.5 million to P844,000.
Aside from amenities like clubhouse and wet market, the Scout Ranger Ville Housing project will have an Olympic-size swimming pool where AFP swimmers can train.
A similar project will also be constructed in Davao City, Lanao del Norte, Tarlac, Negros Occidental, Zamboanga, Baguio City, La Union, Samal and Davao Oriental.
