Former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go has vowed to help eradicate corruption in the government, if he is elected to the Senate.
“Corruption is the poison that destroys a society. The people must know where their money is going and that projects must definitely benefit the larger community,” Go said.
He issued the statement during the year-end evaluation and Christmas party of the League of the Municipalities of the Philippines’ (LMP) Cebu chapter attended by 44 mayors.
Go says he is eyeing ways to improve the Government Procurement Law to make it easier to fund local projects.
He said is pushing for additional healthcare programs and sports and youth development centers to steer away the youth from illegal drugs.
