P500K reward for de Leon killer

Three days after the killing of Francis de Leon, Marikina city Mayor Marcelino Teodoro offered a P500,000 reward to anyone who can provide information on the identity of the killer.

The 23-year-old Ateneo de Manila graduate was stabbed dead in Barangay Concepcion, Marikina City on 2 December. Police are eyeing robbery as possible motive.

De Leon worked as a contingency planner under the Department of Education Central Office’s Disaster Management Group.

In a statement posted on DepEd Tayo Facebook page, the department condemned the “senseless killing” of de Leon and called for justice for the victim.
