Marcio Lassiter cut Kazakhstan’s lead to two points, 88-90, on a three-point shot with 26.1 seconds left in the game. But Anton Bykov iced the win for his team with back-to-back free throws.
The national team suffered its fourth loss in nine outings in Group F but kept its third place ranking behind Iran (6-3) and Australia (8-1).
