PITX to reduce metro traffic congestion

THE Department of Transportation (DoTr) on Tuesday said that the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) will reduce the number of provincial buses plying along EDSA-Taft, Pasay, and Roxas Boulevard once it goes fully operational, which is expected to start next week.

Dubbed as the country’s first “landport,” PITX is located along Coastal Road in Parañaque and according to the Transport department, the PITX is expected to reduce provincial buses plying around Metro Manila – specifically along Roxas Boulevard, Pasay and EDSA-Taft.

“The state-of-the-art landport will provide connectivity between different transport modes and services, allowing efficient and seamless travel for the riding public,” said the DoTr in a statement. It added that no terminal fees will be collected from passengers.
