Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on Monday launched the 10th Malasakit Center in Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in Pampanga.

The Malasakit center is a one-stop shop where patients can get financial assistance from the government for their medical treatment and medicine in line with President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s commitment to provide quality health services to all Filipinos.

Staff from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, the Philippine Amusement and Games Corporation, Department of Health, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development man the center and process applications for medical assistance. Pooled together, the assistance can push the patient’s medical bill, including medicines, to the lowest possible amount.

Go opened the center following his 28 August visit to the province to distribute relief goods to flood victims. During the visit, he promised to put up a Malasakit Center in Pampanga.
