Out of School Youth

“EDUCATION is the key to success.”

Nobody can deny the fact that education is an important tool we can receive that can bring us success in our lives. But not all of us are given a chance to attend and finish formal education due to many reasons.

Since every Filipino has a right to free basic education, our government established a program for out-of-school youths — the Alternative Learning System (ALS) — which all the non-schoolers are given opportunity to pursue their schooling.

After the program was launched, the number of out-of-school youths had decreased.

In the data from the Philippine Statistics Authority, the number of non-pupils decreased by 3.6 million in 2017 compared to 3.9 million in 2016. The Department of Education assured that they will continue their programs to meet the needs of out-of-school youth.

It is never too late to get an education, once you gain a good educational background, it will stay with you for life. As other say, poverty is not a hindrance to finish college and achieve your goals.

So if you need to improve and have a successful life, get a good education now.
