Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa attended Monday his last flag ceremony and said he stood by the PNP against all kind of pressures.

“Months before my retirement I was very excited dahil gusto ko na mag-enjoy sa retirement nangyari, na-extend tayo for three months,” said dela Rosa at Camp Crame, headquarters of the PNP.

“May extension ulit for an indefinite term… nagbago yung takbo ng panahon so yung second extension hindi na natuloy so I have to retire,” added Dela Rosa.
Dela Rosa will be succeeded as PNP chief by General Oscar Albayalde.
