DUBAI — How is the human capital in the United Arab Emirates and the whole Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)?
This is going to be the main subject matter in the 5th GCC HR and Labour Market Executive Conference organized by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Sunday.
The discussion will center on human capital and the Gulf labour market.
The two-day event will have ‘Gulf human capital, a promising wealth,’ as its theme.
The conference will see the participation of various decision makers and business leaders from the UAE and GCC as well as representatives from the private sector.
Khaled Bin Butti, director general of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the UAE had launched a plan to build the structure of its human capital and qualify them.
He added that if economies do not emphasize the importance of human capital, they will not see commercial or industrial growth.
Also attending the conference will be Jameel Bin Mohammad Humaidan, Minister of Labour in Bahrain and current chairman of the GCC Ministers of Labour.
